As Muslims faithful celebrate the auspicious occasion of Maulud Nabiyy 2024, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Alhaji Alhassan Yahaya, National Deputy President of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ),has extended his heartfelt felicitations to all Muslim journalists and the entire Muslim Ummah in Nigeria.
This is contained in a statement signed by the National Deputy President, Nigerian Union of Journalists, Alhaji Alhassan Yahaya and made available to newsmen on Sunday.
“As we celebrate this significant occasion, we are reminded of the Holy Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) teachings on unity, peace, compassion, and forgiveness. These values are crucial and we need to embrace them to ensure harmonious co-existence between the diversed countrymen.” The statement said.
Alhaji Alhassan Yahaya also urge all Nigerians, particularly Muslims, to intensify supplications for Nigeria’s peace, stability, and progress while marking the festival.
The National Deputy President of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) also called on Nigerians include the nation in their prayers and seek divine guidance and intervention to overcome the country’s challenges.
Alhaji Alhassan Yahaya also charges journalist to continue promoting unity, peace, and national cohesion through their reportage saying their role in shaping public discourse and fostering harmony is invaluable.
