Breast Cancer: Tinubu’s wife charges women to priotise their health

President Bola Tinubu’s Wife, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu has urged Nigerian women to priotise their health in commemoration of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that October is set aside as the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month for international health campaigns on breast cancer.

Annually, organisations, especially major breast cancer charities use this period to increase awareness of the disease and raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure.

Mrs Tinubu who is the chairman of Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) a charitable organisation, in a message on Monday in Abuja, pleaded with Nigerian women to go for regular checkups and take appropriate care of their health.

“As women, mothers, sisters, and daughters, our health must remain a priority. Early detection saves lives, regular self-examination and timely medical screening are key in the fight against breast cancer.

“This month, let us raise awareness, support survivors, and encourage one another to take proactive steps for a better health.

” Let us work together to stay healthy. Happy Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025,” she stated.
