GoHealth to commence enrollment of Local government employees

The Gombe state contributory Health care Management Agency (GoHealth) is to commence the enrollment of Local government employees into the scheme like their counterparts at the state level.

The executive secretary of Agency Dr Abubakar Musa made the disclosure when the Agency led by him embarked on a sensitization tour to local governments of the state .

Dr Abubakar Musa said the essence of the visit was to engage with chairmen,secretaries and heads of departments to explain to them the operational guidelines expected of a beneficiary to fulfill to start enjoying the scheme as all modalities have been completed by the agency for the enrollment of local government employees.

He pointed out that three point five percent will be deducted from the salary of an employee while the state government contribute the same amount under the informal sector of the scheme.

Dr Abubakar revealed that every beneficiary is entitle to enroll four biological children bellow the age of eighteen adding that an enrollment form has been made available for each worker to fill and return within two weeks.

In their separate speeches, the permanent secretary ministry for local government service commission Alhaji Mohammed kolo Bajoga and that of ministry for local government, Mohammed Dantata Hindus , Said the benefit of the scheme can not be overemphasized considering its importance to human health and tasked the executives of the local governments and union leaders to educate workers on the benefits they stand to drive from the scheme as Gombe state has been ranked as one of the best states in terms health insurance scheme .

The chairmen of Shongom,Akko and Billiri local governments Yohanna Nahari, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Barambu and Margret Bitrus said they would work in synergy with their employees to ensure the success of the scheme and applauded the state governor for initiating the health scheme for its citizenry to gain access to affordable healthcare delivery .

Enrollment form were distributed in all the local governments visited for onward distribution to workers.
