GOMBE POLICE DEPLOY HEAVY SECURITY FOR EID-EL-FITR CELEBRATIONS

The Gombe State Police Command has announced extensive security arrangements ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations across the state.

In a statement issued on March 18, the Command said personnel and operational assets have been strategically deployed to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free celebration. Residents were urged to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious movements, objects, or individuals to the nearest police station or security agency.

Motorists and motorcyclists were advised to strictly obey traffic rules, while parents and guardians were encouraged to keep a close watch on their children throughout the festive period.

Commissioner of Police Umar Ahmed Chuso reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property before, during, and after the celebrations. He also assured residents that emergency response teams are on standby across the state.

Members of the public were advised to contact the Command Control Room via 0815 056 7771 or reach the nearest police station in case of emergencies.

The police wished Muslim faithful a peaceful, safe, and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
