Court Issues Arrest Warrant for Wakaso Car CEOs Ibrahim Garba Over Failure to Appear

A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Court Seven has issued a warrant for the arrest of Ibrahim Gsrba Executive chairman Wakaso car Ltd Abuja following his failure to appear before the court to answer charges brought against him.

The arrest warrant was issued on Friday by Justice Farida Ibrahim after the defendant failed to honour the court’s summons and was not represented by counsel. The court noted that no satisfactory explanation was provided for his absence.

Justice Farida Ibrahim subsequently directed law enforcement agencies to arrest Ibrahim Garba and produce him before the court at the next adjourned date of 5 August to enable the case to proceed.

The judge emphasized that obedience to court summons is a fundamental obligation of every citizen and that failure to appear without lawful justification amounts to a disregard for the judicial process.

The matter was thereafter adjourned to a later date for further proceedings pending the execution of the arrest warrant.
